A Christmas Greeting

Merry Christmas, Everyone! :)

Dolls: Personalized Sylvanian Standing Baby Figure

The PH Sylvanian Families is preparing for another m
eet-up this coming December 28, 2011. This will also be our Christmas Meet-up/Party. We'll be having an exchange gift limiting to standing baby figures to make it affordable to everyone. Now, To make it special we'll be personalizing our baby figures before gifting and I have prepared my baby figure even if I'm not yet sure if I would be able to come on that day. But I'm really hoping for it! :)

Here she is... She's a Chocolate Rabbit baby with her is a bunch of onesies... Here, she is wearing a simple party dress and headdress for the event.

A jumper suit for active playtime.

Baby bloomers at home.

Original Sylvanian Families baby suit that I decorated with beads and a small flower for her quiet time.

I also made a cushion for the cradle, a simple rug and a book that represents my appreciation for paper crafts.

I hope the new mom will be happy to have her :)

Handmade Card and Dolls: Christmas Card and more of Sylvanian Families

I made a Christmas card last Thursday for a friend. We did a little gift giving, in advance, yesterday after her work. She'll be spending her whole Christmas break in the province while my family will be busy with my sister coming home for the holidays.

It was a simple and quick card. I have prepared the image way back in November so that it would be easy for me to assemble a card every time I need to make it for someone.

She also collects Sylvanian Families and I thought a handmade accessory for her collection would be a nice present for her. I made her a sleeping bag for couple Sylvanian figures.

Before I go, here are some sewing projects I did for Sylvanian Families...

A friend asked me to make baby jumpers for her little Sylvanian babies. It was a real challenge because the measurement is too small and every part is made by hand.

Then, I have started to make a country family outfit for another friend. Here is for the Sylvanian mother figure. I'll be making the rest soon. I hope I can squeeze everything this month.

Last night, I set-up my makeshift outdoor Pizzeria in-between the Country Market and The Hamburger Shop. The oven and counter was from a swap and the accessories are from Carni Castle Miniatures and Sylvanian Families Birthday Party Set.

Have a Merry Christmas! :)

Dolls: Bloomers for Sylvanian Families' Babies

Last night, I made bloomers for my Norwood Mouse babies to dress them up. They are pre-loved and I got them nude from a swap. Now they are feeling comfortable and warm :)

Have a great weekend!

Fun Date with PH Sylvanian Families' Friends

We had our very first meet-up last December at Toy Kingdom SM Megamall. It was a fun experience for me and I really had a great time.

Here we are, all smiles, having a blast!

We had a chance to take photos of the exhibit with our favorite critters while the shop is not yet too busy.

Here are the trades and r.a.k.s. I got from fellow collectors during the event... Thank you very much! :)

Also, I've been busy these past few days sewing some projects for the critters of my friends and here are some of it...

Finally, these are Carni Castle Miniatures I bought in Heavenly Stitchin' Moments Craft Shop at SM Mall of Asia. These are for the pre-loved SF Pizza oven and counter I got from a friend. Thanks to Kittymama for sharing this to us during our first meet-up, I was reminded about it. I used to include these on the scaled models we did in college and now it's a cute alternative to accessorize my Sylvanian Families collection. They have branches at selected SM malls.

Thanks, Everyone, and have a Merry Christmas! :)

Dolls: Sewing a "Lolita" Inspired Outfit for My Little Critter

I was inspired to do another outfit for my critters. This time it's for my lady critter, Savannah, of Sylvanian Trunk Family. I love "Lolita" outfits because, for me, it's beautiful and artistic. There are several styles of this fashion dresses but my favorite is the "Gothic Lolita" which black is the main color.

I have completed the outfit in two days considering my schedule and other obligations.

Here, Savannah is heading for a day stroll in the village.
The dress and accessories are all made of fabric and assorted materials except for the paper flower that I borrowed from my scrapbook supplies.

Savannah having a great time at the park.

... Now, it's time for her to go home...

Thanks, Everyone, have a great weekend.

Early Christmas

Christmas is approaching and my family have started decorating our home. I know it's a bit early but it means that we'll be enjoying the decorations for a long time... Aside from that, I also started making cards for Christmas.

I'm preparing first the hand-stamped images before making the actual cards. I got these lovely images from a swap. I did a little camera play with my Sylvanians, Mother Savannah and Baby Brother Peanut, as if they are helping me with my cards.

Then, I got a chance to meet a collector of Sylvanian Families. Her name is Beng. We've met in PH Sylvanian Families, a group on Facebook. We thought it would be nice to meet and have a little fun with our collection, after all, I miss doing this ever since my friend Ails went back to her hometown for good... We did a little hunting or I should say shopping...

She bought play sets while I got a baby pram. On top of the box are stamps for my cards, I did a little craft shopping, too.

Then we sat on a cafe to relax and play...
I gave her the gift card I did last weekend. Inside is the baker's outfit I made for her since she loves playing dress-up with her collection. I just though it would be a nice welcome present for her.

She did a little set-up for our figures. Katrina Whiskers having a nice afternoon barbecue with Savannah Trunk while the babies, Mallory Whiskers, Peanut Trunk and Nana Trunk, were busy playing.

Before we parted, she surprised me with a welcome present, too... It's an SF Sheep Baby with Tricycle set. I really love it!

I really had great time and we hope to do this again, soon...

Thanks, Everyone, and have great weekend!

Cards: Hello Card

I hope everyone had a great vacation... Last night, I made a gift card for a friend whom I'll be meeting this coming week. I have inserted a handmade present inside the card to surprise her. I hope she loves it.
Hello Card

Before I go, I would like to share a few fun photos I did from our vacation.

My son, Miggy, with his cousin, Nina, during trick or treating last weekend.

Miggy and his cousin, Ysak, on our way to my husband's province.

"Caught on Camera": My Sylvanian Trunk Elephant Family during a stopover at Petron SLEX.

"Caught on Camera": Savannah and Hugo of Sylvanian Trunk Elephant Family during our visit to my father's province. The house in the background is owned by the eldest daughter of my father's close friend.

"A whole year round of Christmas joy!" is how I feel every time I see my brother and sister-in-law's wonderful collection of Christmas Village homes.

So that's it for now! Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Dolls: Sewing an Apron and a Chef's Hat for My Little Baker (Pattern) by TLCjas

Last night, I did a little sewing project for my new found collection. I made an apron, mittens and a chef's hat for my little baker using felt fabric, strip of ribbon and threads. Everything is hand-stitched including the patch and the acronym.

The Water Mill Bakery I have does not include a baker figure. I have assigned Father Cedric of Walnut Squirrel Family to be my little baker.
He's now making lots of baked goodies...
...and everyone in the village is very happy to have the little baker! :)

I'm sharing this simple pattern to those interested in making something for their dolls or collection. Please take note to adjust measurement and allowance, accordingly.  Also, this pattern is for personal enjoyment only and not to be distributed or posted on any other site.  However,  you can make with it and sell it and if you wish to share this pattern, I would be delighted and grateful if you simply link back to this post.  Thank you and happy crafting.

Happy Crafting!
